Kindness – Read Me A Story

If you desire to help your child to be kind, make sure to show kindness in your home. Your child should use polite manners in the home. Expect that he or she will help around the house. Give your child specific structure so that expectations are clear. Not allowing name calling at home helps children to see the destructive impact that harsh words can have on others outside of the home. Use specific praise when your child shows this special quality. Do not allow a spirit of gossip when speaking of others. Your child is observing you and will follow in your footsteps.
